All appraisals, evaluations, and verbal or written assessments are provided as professional opinions based on market data and experience at the time of service. These appraisals are not guarantees of resale value or insurance coverage. Market prices fluctuate, and no future value is implied.
2. Liability for Repairs and Custom Work
While we take every precaution in handling, repairing, and designing fine jewelry or rugs, Solomon’s Gold is not liable for pre-existing damage, material fatigue, gemstone instability, or workmanship defects from third parties. Customers acknowledge that all repairs or customizations carry inherent risks, including minor adjustments to appearance or structural integrity.
3. Lab-Grown and Treated Gemstones
We sell and appraise both natural and lab-grown diamonds, as well as treated or enhanced gemstones. It is the customer’s responsibility to understand these distinctions before purchase or appraisal. We will disclose known treatments and origins to the best of our professional ability, but do not guarantee the identification of undisclosed enhancements or synthetic materials not detectable through standard gemological tools.
4. Secondhand and Estate Goods
All items sold or purchased in our store — including estate jewelry, bullion, and vintage items — are sold as-is. While we strive for accurate description and authenticity, Solomon’s Gold does not guarantee the origin, age, or exact composition of estate or secondhand goods beyond available information and inspection.
5. Personal Property Risks
Items left for appraisal, repair, cleaning, or restoration are handled with care. However, Solomon’s Gold is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage due to events beyond our control, including natural disasters, fire, or third-party carrier errors (e.g., during pickup/delivery).
6. In-Home and On-Site Services
For services conducted outside our physical store, including in-home appraisals or rug evaluations, the customer assumes responsibility for providing a safe and legal environment. Solomon’s Gold reserves the right to refuse service if unsafe or noncompliant conditions exist.

Solomon’s Gold complies with all relevant local, state, and federal laws regarding the buying and selling of secondhand goods, precious metals, gemstones, and estate property, including reporting obligations and identity verification under California Secondhand Dealer regulations and the Patriot Act.

10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from services or transactions with Solomon’s Gold will be resolved under the laws of the State of California. By engaging our services, you agree to first attempt resolution through good faith negotiation, and if needed, through binding arbitration in Contra Costa County, California.
